Speechless Inc. is a San Francisco based startup that has entertained and trained tens of thousands of people all over the world by applying techniques from comedy and theater to business. Over the past 4 years, Claire has worked with entrepreneurs and leadership at some of the worlds biggest and most innovative companies, including Adobe, Google, Salesforce, and Slack. In this session, attendees will have a hands on experience with our signature Improv Thinking, as well as, skills that focus on communication, storytelling, and intentionality to tap into our most creative design processes.
Join Speechless LX Designer Claire Slattery as she delivers a highly effective un- keynote on how to collaborate, communicate and champion your own creative process. The talk will begin in a traditional lecture style, but quickly move into group activities where everyone is involved.
Speechless has brought its unique training to leadership at some of the biggest and most innovative companies across the globe. Through years of collaboration with designers, Speechless offers a session that gives participants a hands-on experience with our signature Improv Thinking, as well as, skills around communication, storytelling, and intentionality to tap into our most creative design processes.
This topic is relevant to Design Track participants in that it will give skills to individuals around growth mindset in active and participatory ways. Participants will be involved throughout the inter-active lecture with large group exercises and small group exercises. Participants will be able to take these new exercises and skills back to their own work to help them develop positive neural pathways around preparation and collaboration.

Key Learning Outcome

Claire Slattery, Professional Actor
Claire Slattery is a professional actor, improviser, and learning experience designer who lives in Los Angeles. She is a Drama and Communication graduate of Stanford University with over 10 years of experience working with California’s top theatre companies, improv troupes, and training centers. Claire performs at festivals around the country and appears regularly on stage at the iO West and Upright Citizens Brigade theaters in Los Angeles. With Speechless, Claire has worked with the most creative teams at Google, Adobe, PayPal, Salesforce, Uber, Zynga, Twitter and many more. Her passion is to provide training that empowers innovators to confidently contribute, creatively collaborate, and capture audiences.
