Life Science in Pasadena: Today and Tomorrow

About this Event

The Battelle Technology Partnership Study, released in 2014, and its proposed Master Plan for Growing the Biosciences in Los Angeles County offers a detailed plan to strengthen the L.A. region’s bioscience eco-system and unlock its vast potential. The task force created to implement the plan will optimize key drivers in the region’s emerging life science economy that provides high-paying local jobs in a sector that saw 6.7% growth during the economic downturn.

With long established training, research and incubation programs, Pasadena stands out as one of the hot spots for biotech in LA County. The success Pasadena has fostered is looked upon as a ‘best practice’ by other cities and as a result, the San Gabriel Valley is well on the way to becoming a significant part of the Battelle plan implementation.

From focused educational opportunities creating skilled technicians to cutting edge stem cell research and the regions longest running full service life science startup incubator, Pasadena is helping put Los Angeles on the map!

Join us at CrossCampus on October 22nd from 3:00 – 5:00 PM to gain insight on what makes our city so unique amongst its peers with an overview and discussion covering the present and future of biotech in Pasadena.
