Makers: Creating Citizen Scientists and Social Innovators

About this Event

What does the emergence of “maker” technologies like 3D printing, Arduino, and wearable tech mean for people in Pasadena and beyond?  Joan and Rich will give a quick overview of these technologies and how they enable just about anyone to make projects that can contribute to real science projects, address social needs, or allow artistic expression. They have been early adopters themselves and have interviewed many more for their books and will give a view from the front lines.
